1. Introduction

Underwritten (“we”, “us”, or “the game”) is a single-player insurance career life simulation. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you play the game. We designed Underwritten to respect your privacy. The game works without requiring an account and does not sell or share your personal data.

2. Information We Collect

We collect very little information.

Game Save Data

Your progress, settings, and game state are stored locally on your device (using the device’s local storage). This data never leaves your device unless you choose to use optional cloud saves.

Optional Cloud Saves

If you enable cloud save slots, only the game state you explicitly choose to upload is stored. This data is used solely to restore your progress on another device or after reinstalling the app. Cloud saves are completely optional and can be turned off at any time.

We do not collect:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• Analytics or usage tracking
• Advertising identifiers
• Contacts, location, health, or financial data
• Any data from your device beyond the game save files themselves

3. How We Use Information

Local save data is used only to let you continue your game. Optional cloud save data is used only to restore the progress you uploaded. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, marketing, or any purpose other than providing the game experience you requested.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

5. Data Storage and Security

Local saves remain on your device. Optional cloud saves are stored securely and only contain the game state you choose to upload. We take reasonable measures to protect any data that is stored.

6. Children’s Privacy

Underwritten is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the game after changes means you accept the updated policy.
